When time is tight, focus on finishing rather than adding more product.
-
Check the skin in natural movement
Ask the model to turn their head and smile. Look for creasing, shine and visible edges. -
Press before you powder
Use a clean brush or sponge to press down any product that has gathered around the nose, mouth or under the eyes. -
Powder only where needed
Target the forehead, nose and chin. Leave the high points of the face fresh unless the brief requires a matte finish. -
Blend the edges
Check the hairline, jawline, cheeks and around the ears. Use a clean soft brush to remove any harsh transitions. -
Keep the final kit simple
Have concealer, powder, lip colour, cotton buds, tissues and your key brushes ready. Do not waste time searching through the full kit. -
Know when to stop
Once the skin looks even and balanced, leave it alone. Overworking the makeup can create texture and lift the base.
