The key to a smooth cream base is using less pressure and working in controlled stages.
Pass one: place
Apply a small amount of product to the centre of the face. Press it into the skin using the M1 brush rather than immediately moving it around.
Pass two: blend
Use short circular or tapping movements to spread the product outwards. Keep your pressure light so the brush blends the surface without removing the coverage underneath.
Pass three: finish
Use an almost weightless movement to soften visible edges around the jaw, hairline and nose.
Tips for avoiding lift
- Let skincare settle before applying makeup.
- Build coverage in thin layers.
- Do not repeatedly buff the same area.
- Use a clean brush if the base starts to look heavy.
- Add extra product only where coverage is needed.
- Use less pressure around dry or textured areas.
The finished base should look even but still like skin.
